About

Urban Mission Experience STL (UME) was birthed in 2006 by a group of experienced mission trip leaders in the United Church of Christ. The program is hosted at Epiphany UCC,
a small but mighty faith community in the Benton Park neighborhood of St. Louis.

Epiphany is an Open and Affirming congregation that fully welcomes persons of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions.

You can learn more about Epiphany here.

The UME program is supported in part by Joint Neighborhood Ministries

and Berea-Curby Presbyterian.

Goals

To introduce participants to social justice issues impacting our city, volunteer with nearby community groups working for change, help support Epiphany UCC, and live out Micah 6:8 “to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with your God.”
